On a grueling road trip this past weekend, the women’s FC St. Louis team
evened their record to 2 and 2. FC St. Louis claimed a 3-2 victory on Saturday
over FC Twente, getting goals from Ashley Hamblin,( Missouri ), Ashley Bares,
(Marquette), and Tessa Gavilsky, ( Granite City ,Stetson). On Sunday, they came
back from a 1-0 deficit to defeat Chicago United Breeze with goals from Katya
Hessel, ( Edwardsville , Missouri ) at the beginning of the second half and
Ashley Bares ( Marquette ) with two minutes remaining in the game. Earning the
victories in goal were Natalie Kulla, (Incarnate Word, Marquette) and April
Eilering, (Triad, Stetson). Other members of the team are Kat Tarr , Missouri ,
Janeille Cordia , Missouri , Allison Sole, SLU, Sally Sinclair, SLU, Lauren
Olson, SLU, Kelley Kuenning, Stetson, Lauren Acres, Marquette , Stephanie
Vasos, Marquette , Kristi Laurenzi, Marquette and Nadine Kezebou, Cameroon .
FC St. Louis has their first home game on Sunday June 29 at CBC High School
at 1:00 p.m.
